Description Overview

 

The purpose of this role is to ensure Perrigo’s global supply chain demonstrates high ethical standards, notably on human rights and the labor, safety and environmental performance of supplier factories as defined by our Supplier Ethical Standards and Code of Conduct. This role will be responsible for the overall compliance of suppliers to customer responsible sourcing and ethical trade programs as well as Perrigo’s internal standards and various regulations. The successful candidate will lead a small team and oversee supplier audit coordinating, training, evaluating risk, remediating non-conformances, complying with customer requirements, and other activities to promote ethical practices throughout the supply chain as well as being the point person on sustainability for the UK team.  
This role will also collaborate with Perrigo leaders, suppliers, customers, project teams with a special focus on Perrigo’s UK business and UK customers.   


 

Scope of the Role

 

  • Oversee compliance to Perrigo’s E&SC auditing program and ensure the key elements of the program are implemented appropriately, including the prequalification of new supplier factories, ongoing auditing and monitoring of existing suppliers, compliance with customer audit programs and administration of needed systems.
  • Liaise with customers and suppliers accordingly, notably for PUK business and any international needs that arise
  • Develop policies, procedures, reports and tools as needed to integrate local processes into the global processes as well as support initiatives around supply chain mapping, risk assessments, audit triggers, and standardized training 
  • Support the broader UK sustainability initiatives, engage customers, integrate with global Perrigo and communicate internally as appropriate. 
  • Report supplier performance metrics and other pertinent information internally and externally as appropriate. 
     

Experience Required

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; 
  • 2+ years relevant experience with ethical trade or a related field
  • Experience with Sedex, BSCI, or other related social auditing tools/standards 
  • Supply chain experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and establish credibility with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to build relationships, negotiate and resolve differences, preferably across countries and cultures
  • A passion and aptitude for human rights and the Ethical and Social Compliance arena
  • Sustainability experience is desirable
  • Social auditing experience and/or an accreditation is desirable
