Description Overview

 

We are excited to be recruiting for a Lead Commercial Strategy Manager to join our Commercial Strategy & Execution team based in London operating across our Northern Europe Cluster (UK, IE, Nordics & Australia).

 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the commercial strategy and successful execution of Branded and Own Label products across a range of Perrigo’s self-care categories, whilst enabling the performance of your own team.  This position is perfect for a commercially minded, analytically strong, and ambitious emerging leader that is ready to make a real impact.

 

At Perrigo, our Commercial Strategy & Execution function is an integral, valued part of our business.  Without the important work undertaken by the team our leading self-care products such as Galpharm, Solpadeine, NiQuitin, Bronchostop, ellaOne and Compeed would not be so readily available to consumers!

Scope of the Role

 

Commercial Strategy: Ownership for defining where to play & how to win by leading the organisation to execute against your Category Success Models & DVRP Guidelines for your categories across the Cluster.  Leading the deployment of our commercial plans by launching our annual toolkits and supporting our Sales teams at customer strategy days. 

 

Driving Outperformance:  Responsible for setting business goals & priorities in annual planning, keeping the category, customer & shopper at the heart of what we do. Partnering with multi-functional teams to deliver our commitments through the monthly operating cycle. 

 

P&L Management: Direct responsibility for the P&Ls on the brands & categories within your remit. 

 

Sales Fundamentals: Tracking DVRP execution (Distribution, Visibility, Recommendation, Pricing & Promotion) with reporting to Cluster and Global leadership teams on initiative performance, highlighting opportunities and barriers to success, and recommending course correction plans.   

 

Innovation: Own the commercial inputs into our Innovation plans, project meeting and budgeting processes. 

 

Leadership & Development: Enable the performance and nurture the development of Perrigo’s top talent within your Commercial Strategy team.  Contribute to our overall culture as a prominent leader within the Cluster.

Experience Required

 

  • Minimum of 8 years in Consumer Goods (FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, etc.), with strong commercial experience in Sales, Commercial Strategy, Category Development or RGM.
  • Proven P&L ownership with track record of achieving targets through collaboration and delivering results by leading through others.
  • Managerial experience with success in coaching & developing talent.

 

This role is London based and will require some travel (approx. 10-15%).
