Description Overview

We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our team as a Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will perform all end-to-end payroll and related activities necessary for the timely and accurate calculation of wages and salaries for company associates across multiple Northern European and/or CEE countries. You will also support DACH/Poland payroll execution when required.

 

We currently work in a hybrid model: 3 days in the Warsaw office (Domaniewska 48) and 2 days remotely.

Scope of the Role

  • Lead, prepare and execute the recurring payroll closes for multiple countries in close collaboration with the local payroll provider
  • In close collaboration with the local Employee Lifecycle Team, ensure all change information is submitted to the local payroll provider for them to process the input in the local payroll application or process all change input submitted by the local Employee Lifecycle Team in the payroll application where managed service is not in place.
  • Support the DACH & Poland Payroll Specialist in the E2E payroll process Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland
  • Comply with internal and external audit/governance requirements, legal regulations and approval processes.
  • Show commitment to deliver accurate and timely payroll execution by completing all pre-defined processing steps from pre- to post payroll in an independent manner.
  • Conduct thorough validations and checks in order to proactively identify anomalies in the trial payroll calculations and swiftly act & resolve to avoid corrections.
  • Act as go to person for payroll related questions from your client groups
  • Build a solid relationship with the Employee Lifecycle Team to ensure smooth day to day collaboration
  • Support internal stakeholders in payroll related queries, including reconciliation activities, payroll posting, Finance reporting, HR queries, and additional payroll‑related tasks.
  • Build a solid relationship with external partners, including payroll providers, pension plan providers, health insurance providers.
  • Support in any payroll projects, internal & external audits, and other related activities.
  • Execute all payroll related year end activities in a timely manner to ensure compliance at all time.
  • Build and execute a robust set of checks & controls to ensure payroll accuracy before and after the payroll run, including preparation of payroll related reporting.
  • Act as an owner and subject matter expert on social legislation for the countries in scope.
  • Document knowledge and process instructions to ensure a solid backfill plan when needed.

Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in an operational payroll or related function
  • Bachelor degree is highly desirable
  • Payroll experience in international context/multiple countries is highly desirable
  • Proficient knowledge of English is required
  • Resilience to cope with working under time pressure is required
  • Advanced excel skills are an asset
